MATCH REPORT | Valencia CF beat St. Gallen for back to back preseason away wins (0-2)

Valencia CF took on the Swiss outfit, FC Saint Gallen, on Wednesday 20th of July at 7 pm kick-off time at the Stadium Buechenwald – Gossau, Switzerland for the second test of their preseason camp.
The game started at a high tempo at both ends with Valencia CF trying to play the ball out from the back.
Koba Lein enjoyed Valencia CF's maiden chance in the fourth minute following a fine bursting run from Jesús Vázquez that picked up Manu Vallejo who set up Koba Koindredi, but his effort was turned away by the opposition keeper.
Valencia CF dictated possession and had further forays forward over the quarter-hour mark.
The contest evened out towards the midway point of the first half.
Toni Lato got on the end of a teasing Manu Vallejo cross but his effort went the wrong side of the post.
Three minutes later, Uroš Račić tried his luck with a powerful attempt following a driving run just under the half-hour mark.
Manu Vallejo enjoyed a clear-cut chance on the stroke of half-time with a close-range header which blazed over the crossbar.

Gennaro Gattuso made wholesale changes at halftime.
Valencia CF tried to dictate play early in the second half.
Koba Koindreidi lashed it into the top corner from outside the box with a powerful left-footer after a brilliant tee-up from Marcos André.
Moments later, Jasper Cillessen kept the scoreline at 0-1 with a fine save on a one-on-one situation
Gennaro Gattuso made another raft of changes on the hour mark.
Marcos André forced the opposition keeper into a fine save following an intricate link-up play between Samu Castillejo and Carlos Soler who let the ball roll into Marcos André for a powerful first-time drive.
The opposition upped the ante with a little over 15 of regulation time plus injury time left to play.
Valencia CF enjoyed a hefty spell of possession in the latter stages of the second half as they looked to seal the win with a second goal which came via a fine team goal which was finished off by Gonçalo Guedes with a clinical cross-strike.
The game finished in a 2-0 for Valencia CF's second win of their preseason.
Valencia CF will take VfB Stuttgart on Saturday 23rd of July at the Mercedes Benz Arena at 3.30 pm kick-off time.
